Apollo Projects were engaged by Christchurch International Airport Limited (CIAL) to design and construct the Jucy Rentals new branch office and operations facility situated in the Mustang Business Park. The 1,749m² facility has the capacity to store 450+ vehicles on site and includes a mechanical workshop, car wash, detailing area and office space, as well as a comfortable customer service area. The car wash area is specifically designed to prevent high pressure water use from damaging the area and preventing contaminated water run off from entering the storm water system, an important requirement for CIAL.
The exterior cladding of the building is coloursteel and the use of translucent panelling on the roof allows for plenty of natural light to flood the interior space. Similarly, the inclusion of LED lighting throughout the building increases the energy efficiency. The project was completed in August 2016, on time and under budget. Jucy Rentals are easy to spot in Mustang Park given the vibrant purple and green branding across the exterior.
