Apollo Projects managed the design and construction of a new Redline Facility for Fonterra, as part of ongoing works at the Edendale Processing Plant. The project involved the demolition of the existing facility, establishment of a temporary critical hygiene redline facility for Fonterra staff to use in the interim, and the design and construction of the new building. Apollo also concurrently managed the construction of an extension to the Transport Services Workshop.
Apollo’s project team managed all aspects of the builds including procurement, construction sequencing, methodology and programme, statutory consents and compliance, as well as onsite subcontractor coordination and Health & Safety management.
In keeping with Fonterra’s stringent Health & Safety requirements, the projects were undertaken within a Ring Fence site in which Apollo issued permits and managed all site activities with minimal interference with Fonterra’s day-to-day production activities.
