ESR Building 7 - Wiri Logistics Estate
ESR is a dynamic specialist in developing property solutions for customers in the logistics sector. Apollo was engaged in 2023 to deliver the design and build of their new development in Wiri, Auckland.
The $41m warehouse and office is a testament to the successful collaboration between the client, subcontractors, consultants and the project team. Through strong stakeholder management, the project was completed on time, within budget, and without and conflicts, setting a new standard for project delivery.
Spanning 22,000m2 of warehouse space and 1,000m2 of office facilities, this development also features a range of innovative sustainability measures. The project has gained a Greenstar 5 design certification, highlighting its commitment to environmental responsibility. The design incorporates solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, eco-mix concrete, EV charging stations, and acoustic ceilings with high-grade insulation. Extensive waste management and off-site recycling ensured a low environmental footprint throughout construction.
Commencing on 13 August 2023, the project was completed in less than a year on 2 August 2024. Despite the ambitious timeline, the project remained on track throughout delivery, thanks to the effective planning, clear communication and strong teamwork.
